JUDAEA, Raphia. Gordian III. 238-244 CE. Æ (20mm, 6.02 g, 11h). Dated CY 300 (240/1 CE). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from the front / Radiate and draped bust of Harpocrates wearing hem-hem crown right, set on three lion's heads; T (date) to left. Meshorer, Raphia 50; Rosenberger 31; RPC VII.2 3621; Sofaer 19. Dark brown patina with earthen highlights, a few cleaning marks, light smoothing. Near VF. Extremely rare, only three known to RPC, none in CoinArchives.
